Job Description:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain accurate and reliable test results, specimen processing, and reporting.
Provide leadership and supervision to laboratory staff, including medical technologists, technicians, and laboratory assistants, to promote teamwork, efficiency, and professional development.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, physicians, and other departments to coordinate laboratory services, interpret test results, and contribute to patient care decisions.
Monitor laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and inventory levels, and oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration activities.
Conduct performance evaluations, training programs, and continuing education initiatives for laboratory personnel to ensure proficiency, competency, and compliance with licensure requirements.
Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology, industry trends, and regulatory changes, and implement best practices and quality improvement initiatives accordingly.
Education Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification or equivalent.
